- IFC provides its certified customers with the appropriate IFC certification mark.
- Certified customers may use the Certification Mark on media such as brochures, letterhead, envelopes, business cards, and certain packaging.
- If the certification scope does not cover all products and/or services offered by the organization and/or all locations/facility of the organization. It is included in the scope of certification material bearing the mark shall not suggest that all products/services/sites/locations of the organization are covered by the scope of certification.
- The mark(s) cannot be altered or modified. However, if the proportion of the entire mark is maintained and all elements of the mark are clearly distinguished, the size may be changed.
- Clients must not use the Certificate Marks provided by the IFC in a manner that could damage the IFC’s reputation and/or its certification system and lose public trust.
- When reducing the scope of the certification, the customer must revise all promotional materials related to the certification to properly reflect the reduced scope.
- Upon suspension or revocation of certification, the customer must cease use of all promotional materials associated with the certification in accordance with IFC guidelines.
- Customers are not permitted to place the IFC mark on laboratory test and/or calibration reports.
- Contractual Obligations: The correct use of a certificate, certification mark or certification mark is a contractual obligation and is monitored in the supervision and evaluation of certificate renewals. Misuse of a customer’s certificate or certification mark may lead to actions including corrections and requests for corrective action, suspension or revocation of certificates, disclosure of violations and, where necessary, legal action.
